Sam HJ Kim

My grandpa was an avid photographer—it was how he catalogued his memories, in addition to his written records. I still have his Canon from the 1960's, in addition to our family photographic archives dating back to the early 1900's.

Now, I pursue this passion daringly and lovingly, perhaps taking it a step further with more knowledge, stylistic and contextual freedoms, and technology.

Based in New York City, but photographing everywhere: street, documentary, landscape, life.
